Last month during a stop at The Vans Warped Tour in Scranton, PA AltWire contributor Derek Oswald had a chance to sit down for a very lengthy interview with Escapar del destino drummer Robert Ortiz.
Filmed during a heavy rainfall outside, but thankfully within the shelter of the Vans Warped Tour press trailer, Robert didn’t let the grey clouds or lousy weather dampen his spirits, as he came ready to wear his heart on his sleeve. In his very real, passionate, and at times humorous 17-minute interview with us, Robert provided an honest look into what he felt to be the band’s failures over the last decade, his personal highs and lows, and how the band’s upcoming new record (yet to be titled!) has made him want to be a part of the band more than ever before.
