Rock heavyweights Five Finger Death Punch have launched a new campaign to help veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Depression, and Homelessness.
Many veterans have severe problems with entering back into their everyday life after service due to mental health issues, which is depicted in the new 5FDP video to “Wrong Side Of Heaven”, written by the band and directed by Nick Peterson.
At the end of the video, the contact info of several national and local veterans and PTSD help organizations is shown. This information, as well as details regarding PTSD, is also available at www.5fdp4Vets.com. In addition, the band is hosting a video-call-to-action to their fans asking them to send in their fallen loved onesโ dog tags to create a memorial wall to commemorate them, which will be used as the backdrop for their upcoming arena fall tour (dates below) and as part of a museum exhibition afterwards. A special, limited edition โNo One Gets Left Behindโ jersey will be available exclusively via an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign to benefit the various help organizations mentioned at the end of the video.
โWe wanted to do something impactful to help our veterans in need. With this video and the accompanying campaign we hope to shed more light on the seriousness of their issues. The statistics are shocking, and if any change is to take place it will start with general public awareness. We have been playing numerous military shows but wanted to do more; educate, reach out and donate to the organizations that are making a difference to better the lives of our veterans.โ
