Marmozets – The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets (CD)

Marmozets

First and foremost, it’s time to disregard the cheapening and blatantly false comparisons to Paramore you may have heard about this band. Marmozets are in a league of their own and in a completely different realm than any other alternative band on the market now.

Featuring a brash, unpredictable, and highly dynamic sound, the West Yorkshire-based quintet’s dรฉbut, The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets, is a bloody, honest and brutal introduction to a young band who are set to completely overtake the airwaves in just a few years time. The very fact that these young musicians (who collectively are on average, below the age of 20) already perform with more feeling and finesse than most of their peers, shows a promising career ahead for this wonderfully talented and refreshing band.

Brace yourselves, for the Marmozets, are coming with a reminder that rock isn’t dead. It lives on through five very talented people whose fight for the spotlight has produced one hell of a first impression. While the record may prove hard on some listeners with some cannibalistic sounding moments, along with occasionally loud/raw mixing, many will see it as an unexpected, yet, a welcome change from the status quo that has proliferated rock music in the past few years.
