American Wolves have entered alternative rock with their debut single and music video\u00a0“Part Of Me.”\u00a0<\/em>Billboard has the exclusive debut for the four-piece,\u00a0“Part Of Me”\u00a0<\/em>off their upcoming EP of five tracks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really think that we have the potential to redefine what it means to be a rock star in this day and age,\u201d<\/em> says vocalist-guitarist Rod Pires. The band is two years young in formation, the single produced by\u00a0Dan Korneff whose work\u00a0includes Paramore<\/a> and\u00a0Breaking Benjamin- an impressive note to keep with American Wolves.<\/p>\n

With their strong debut, Pires plans on ‘changing the game a bit,’ adding: “…there are so many artists that have a platform to do good and inspire people and to talk about great things, and they don\u2019t. They\u2019re talking about things that aren\u2019t necessarily good topics to write about. I feel like we have the potential to set the example for this next generation of bands that are coming up.”<\/em><\/p>\n

American Wolves are coming in strong, but not aggressively\u00a0in their eyes-\u00a0“In the music industry, you have all these bands, they\u2019re almost fighting against each other instead of bringing each other up,” <\/em>he says.<\/p>\n

“What\u2019s really cool about our is band is our members, we\u2019re constantly bringing each other up. We\u2019re not competing for a spot. That\u2019s something that I really want to show people: that everyone has a place.”<\/em><\/p>\n

On choosing the name, Pires also goes on to explain,\u00a0\u201cWhen you think of a wolf, you think of someone that\u2019s fierce. You think of passion, this fire, and I think that kind of represents us. We\u2019re hungry for more success, we\u2019re chasing down this dream, and we\u2019re fierce about it and we have no fear.”<\/em><\/p>\n
