Welcome, friends, to the second week of AltWire\u2019s catchup series \u0427\u0442\u043e \u0441\u043b\u0443\u0448\u0430\u0435\u0442 AltWire?<\/em><\/p>\n

Same as last week, this series is just a little mini catchup amongst ourselves regarding albums we\u2019ve been spinning a lot over the last seven days. We (of course) are all massive music fans here at AltWire, so the opportunity to share our listening experiences with our readers is a lot of fun!<\/p>\n

\u201cI, hands down, stan harder for no one else than Demi Lovato<\/strong>. When Tell Me You Love Me<\/em> was first released I listened to nothing else for weeks and I still do listen to it often mixed in with everything else on my playlist but with Demi<\/strong>‘s recent singles and performance on the Grammy’s it’s made its way back to the top of my list. There is something real and deep in her music that I think some other pop artists lack and it keeps me from getting bored with it. I wouldn’t be able to pick a favorite song because I really do love all of them and I can’t wait for her to release more music.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00ab<\/strong>You can never go wrong with the classics and \u041f\u0443\u0442\u0435\u0448\u0435\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0438\u0435<\/strong>‘s; The Essential Journey<\/em> album is a go-to for me. It is an album that provides you with the greatest hits of the rock band. Want to keep it slow? Listen to \u2018Faithfully\u2019. If you’re going to enjoy a fun tune, listen to \u2018Any Way You Want It\u2019. Want to jam out? You can never go wrong with \u2018Don’t Stop Believing\u2019. This album has everything, and it puts me in a great mood to listen to their songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nGenre: Hard Rock\/Nu-Metal <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cAhh \u041f\u0430\u043f\u0430 \u0420\u043e\u0443\u0447<\/strong>. Alongside \u041b\u0438\u043d\u043a\u0438\u043d \u041f\u0430\u0440\u043a<\/a><\/strong> \u0438 \u041b\u0438\u043c\u043f \u0411\u0438\u0437\u043a\u0438\u0442<\/strong>, \u041f\u0430\u043f\u0430 \u0420\u043e\u0443\u0447<\/strong> is one of those bands I can play loudly in the car on a bad day and all of a sudden it turns into an absolute blast. Big choruses and big guitar riffs, and Jacoby Shaddix<\/strong>\u2019s infectious energy every step of the way. With that being said, is The Connection<\/em> peak \u041f\u0430\u043f\u0430 \u0420\u043e\u0443\u0447<\/strong>? No, those laurels remain firmly in the hands of either Infest<\/em> \u0438\u043b\u0438 Getting Away With Murder<\/em>. But is The Connection <\/em>full to the brim of ridiculously fun radio rock tracks? Absolutely. \u2018Still Swinging\u2019, \u2018Where Did The Angels Go\u2019 and \u2018Breathe You In\u2019 are so much fun, and \u2018Leader of the Broken Hearts\u2019 stands as one of Shaddix<\/strong>\u2019s best performances. The Connection<\/em> is underrated and worth a listen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been on a bit of a movie soundtrack kick for the past week (thanks Mark!) and one song that I absolutely love is the \u201cTethered Remix\u201d of \u00a0\u201cI Got 5 On It\u201d by Luniz<\/strong> from the US (OST). When the 55 second mark hits, and the build-up that was generating for close to a minute prior reaches its crescendo, it\u2019s a masterclass in suspenseful film scoring. Still one of my favorites despite its short length.\u201d<\/p>\n
