Revocation have released the first single off their upcoming album\u00a0Great Is Our Sin,\u00a0<\/em>“Communion”<\/em>\u00a0available for streaming by Metal Blade Records. The sixth studio album will follow up their 2014 release\u00a0Deathless<\/em>,\u00a0Great Is Our Sin\u00a0<\/em>scheduled to drop July 22, 2016- being described as their ‘most dynamic, boundary-pushing and weighty release to date.’<\/p>\n Frontman and founding member Dave Davidson is quoted to say in regards to\u00a0“Communion”\u00a0<\/em>that,\u00a0“[it] is the fastest song we’ve recorded to date and while it’s blistering in terms of speed there are also some proggy elements present to add contrast to \u00a0the aggression.”<\/em><\/p>\n Revocation brought back producer Chris ‘Zeuss’ Harris (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) from album\u00a0Deathless\u00a0<\/em>and EP\u00a0Teratogenesis\u00a0<\/em>for the upcoming album, early reviews so far including comments claiming\u00a0Great Is Our Sin packs<\/em>\u00a0a requisite punch while retaining an organic feel. Looking through comments and posts from fans on Revocation’s Facebook in reaction to\u00a0“Communion,”\u00a0<\/em>it may very well do so.<\/p>\n “We can’t wait to bring these songs out on the road and perform them for different audiences all over the world,”\u00a0<\/em>Davidson has stated,\u00a0“‘Great Is Our Sin’ is a new chapter for the band, and collectively we feel that it is our defining record to date.”<\/em><\/p>\n Great Is Our Sin\u00a0<\/em>is scheduled for release a day before The Summer Slaughter Tour begins, Revocation touring in support of their new album; The Summer Slaughter Tour includes Cannibal Corpse, Nile, After The Burial, Suffocation, Carnifex, Krisiun, Slaughter To Prevail and Ingested alongside Revocation, kick off July 23rd and ending August 21st.<\/p>\n Details and tour dates can be followed HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n
