Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 fan de Incube<\/a><\/strong> depuis plus de 20 ans et de Coheed et Cambria<\/a><\/strong> depuis cinq ans, j'ai enfin pu voir les deux groupes en concert pour la premi\u00e8re fois ce mardi 27 ao\u00fbt. L'ambiance sur le parking \u00e9tait \u00e9lectrique, aliment\u00e9e par l'\u00e9nergie d'un Phillies de Philadelphie<\/strong> un match se d\u00e9roule juste en bas de la route (ALLEZ LES PHILS !).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour les non-initi\u00e9s, le Wells Fargo Center n'est pas seulement une ar\u00e8ne : c'est un endroit o\u00f9 le son prend vie, o\u00f9 chaque note et chaque riff r\u00e9sonnent dans votre poitrine, un sentiment partag\u00e9 par mon conjoint, qui \u00e9tait ravi par les sons de basse lourds du groupe d'ouverture Coheed et Cambria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coheed and Cambria: Outstanding and Should\u2019ve Had A Longer Set<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I must mention how much I enjoyed Coheed. From the moment the band began to play, the early crowd was electrified. If you’re about to go to an Incubus concert and are unfamiliar with Coheed and Cambria before the show, witnessing them live will help you understand why they have such a devoted following. Especially Claudio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His guitar work throughout the brief nine-song set was outstanding, with a memorable moment being when he lifted his guitar above his head during an extended and impressive solo, shredding without missing a beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their opening set was fantastic, but it felt too short. I understand Incubus was the night’s highlight, but nine songs seemed brief for such a talented band. We had such a good time witnessing Coheed that we both committed to seeing them at a headlining date the next time they come through Philadelphia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incubus: Brandon Boyd Sounds as Great as Ever!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Visually, Incubus put on a spectacular show. It was a mesmerizing blend of atmosphere, trippy visuals, and peaceful moments\u2014an experience that you have to witness to appreciate fully. Unlike Coheed and Cambria, who stuck to a straightforward (although tasteful) LED light show, Incubus took it to another level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stage came alive with psychedelic visuals, 3D imagery, lasers, and fog that seemed to reach out to the crowd. It was not just a concert visually but a whole sensory experience that evoked shades of Pink Floyd<\/strong>, albeit with today’s technological advancements. At one point, the lasers felt so close that it seemed like they were right above my head! I’ve seen lasers at a Linkin Park<\/a> show before, but this was in a league of its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musicalement, Incubus est rest\u00e9 fid\u00e8le aux versions originales de Vue du matin<\/em>, \u00e0 part quelques chansons converties en acoustique. Il semble qu'ils aient opt\u00e9 pour la puret\u00e9 plut\u00f4t que pour des r\u00e9interpr\u00e9tations trouv\u00e9es sur Vue du matin 23<\/em>Bien que j'aie ador\u00e9 les r\u00e9interpr\u00e9tations trouv\u00e9es sur MV23, ce n'\u00e9tait pas un probl\u00e8me pour moi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cependant, Incubus n'a pas seulement mis\u00e9 sur la nostalgie des fans ravis d'entendre un album aussi classique. Ils ont \u00e9galement surpris le public avec des reprises inattendues, en y int\u00e9grant de mani\u00e8re fluide des extraits de Phil Collins<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0In The Air Tonight\u00a0\u00bb pendant \u00ab\u00a0Are You In\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb, Rihanna<\/strong> \u00ab Umbrella \u00bb dans \u00ab Under My Umbrella \u00bb, Portishead<\/strong> \u00ab Glory Box \u00bb pendant \u00ab Vitamin \u00bb et une interpr\u00e9tation compl\u00e8te de Les Beatles <\/strong>\u00ab Come Together \u00bb en version autonome. Brandon semblait appr\u00e9cier ces moments, mettant en valeur la polyvalence du groupe et son profond respect pour la musique qui les a influenc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais si nous nous concentrons sur de grandes performances, prenons un moment pour montrer notre amour pour le nouveau membre du groupe, Nicole Rowe<\/strong>, qui a apport\u00e9 une nouvelle dynamique au son d'Incubus tout au long de la soir\u00e9e. Ses contributions en tant que bassiste et choriste ont apport\u00e9 une nouvelle profondeur au son d'Incubus, et ses magnifiques harmonies se sont parfaitement m\u00e9lang\u00e9es \u00e0 celles de Boyd, mettant en valeur de mani\u00e8re unique sa voix expressive. Il est clair que Rowe est un choix naturel pour le groupe, et il sera passionnant de voir comment sa pr\u00e9sence pourrait fa\u00e7onner les projets futurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, one of the most impressive aspects of the night was Boyd\u2019s stamina. Instead of taking a short break before the encore, like many bands, Incubus powered straight through and delivered their final set with the same intensity as the rest of the show. I don’t know where they get their energy, but it’s admirable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post-Covid world where ticket prices are higher than ever, Incubus made sure to give the fans an experience worth every penny. However, I was slightly disappointed that “Stellar,” one of my favorite Incubus singles, didn’t make the “hits” portion of the setlist; the overall experience made up for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tant que fan des deux groupes depuis des ann\u00e9es mais ne les ayant jamais vus en concert, je pense que ce concert \u00e9tait un m\u00e9lange parfait de brillance technique, de r\u00e9sonance \u00e9motionnelle et de rock pur et sans filtre.
