Indie Rock band Speedy Ortiz have created quite a buzz last year with their outstanding debut album Major Arcana<\/em>. Now the band from Northampton, Massachussetts is back for another year filled with their awesome music. The brand new single “American Horror” was announced on the Band’s official Facebook page<\/a> and can be streamed below:<\/p>\n

In an interview with Fiddleback<\/a>, singer Sadie Dupuis describes the band’s creative process:<\/p>\n

Usually I work on a demo at home, recording guitar and vocals and sometimes bass and drums. Then we learn the songs together, tweak the arrangements, play them out a few times, and make adjustments along the way accordingly. Sometimes we make a demo of us all playing together. Eventually we record for real in a studio. Even after those recordings come out, we still make modifications to how the live performance will be, so the songs stay fresh to us.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“American Horror” is the first release of Speedy Ortiz’ upcoming four-track EP Real Hair<\/em>, due to be released on February 11 and can be preordered HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n
