Los Angeles-based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Ethan Gruska<\/strong><\/a> releases a new track and video \u201cEvent Horizon\u201d <\/strong>from his highly anticipated second solo album, En Garde<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>the follow up to his acclaimed 2017 solo debut SLOWMOTIONARY<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0En Garde<\/em><\/strong> showcases the more playful with an exotic depth of sonic possibilities and is set for release on January 24, 2020 via Warner Records. The video for \u201cEvent Horizon\u201d <\/strong>was filmed in Wyoming and directed by Danica Arias Kleinknecht<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> who also directed Ethan\u2019s previous video, \u201cOn The Outside.\u201d<\/strong><\/a> \u00a0Cliquez ici<\/strong><\/a> to view and share \u201cEvent Horizon.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

Ethan explains,\u00a0\u201c\u2019Event Horizon\u2019\u00a0is probably my favorite on the record. My wife is a Kurt Vonnegut Jr. fan and told me to read\u00a0Sirens of Titan; that sci-fi influence is in the song. It\u2019s also my homage to more jazz-influenced hip-hop<\/a> like Kendrick Lamar, one of my favorite current artists. It\u2019s about being in a room with someone and not being able to put your finger on what they\u2019re thinking, and the relationship between that and an event horizon, this pull where nothing can ever get out as what it really is. And yes, I know it\u2019s also a movie from the \u201990s; I looked at the DVD cover while making the song and decided I will never watch it. But I honor it.\u201d<\/p>\n
