Tennessee rock band Paramore has announcedย their first album in four years, After Laughter,ย the follow-up to their self-titled 2013 album. Ahead of the albumโs May 12 release date, the band releasedย the first single from the album, โHard Times.”
โHard Timesโ features a very cool โ80s pop sound, which is echoed in the retro-vintage music video released along with the track that instantly takes you back to the early days of MTV or Nickelodeon, using hand-drawn graphics over pastel colors (I’m thinking about the intro to almost any early ’90s teenage TV show).
After Laughter brings back Zac Farro, Paramoreโs original drummer. Farro left the band in 2010 at the same time as his brother and former Paramore bassist Jeremy Farro.
The album is currently available for pre-order, which includes an instant digital download of “Hard Times.”
