Funds from AltWire+ are directly reinvested in the site in several ways, including:
- Hosting and media delivery costs
- Podcast and video production costs

- Hiring new writers
- Additional server capacity as we grow
And that $4.99 goes a long way. Just a single subscriber pays for about 5% of our hosting bill. A few subscribers are needed to pay a writer for a feature story. A few dozen subscribers would allow us to hire several new writers and expand coverage. With independent media, your dollar goes much further.
