{"id":467,"date":"2013-10-30T14:05:03","date_gmt":"2013-10-30T14:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.altwire.net\/?p=467"},"modified":"2023-12-06T06:35:40","modified_gmt":"2023-12-06T11:35:40","slug":"my-chemical-romance-greatest-hits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/altwire.net\/de\/my-chemical-romance-greatest-hits\/","title":{"rendered":"My Chemical Romance To Release Greatest Hits"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>For a short period of time on Tuesday October the 29th, fans of the now-defunct pop-punk band My Chemical Romance, exploded in excitement via social media over rumors that the multi-platinum band had risen from the<em> Dead! <\/em>to &#8220;Sing&#8221; on a new yet to be titled album set for release in January of 2014.<\/h4>\n<p>This information came from a vague and unannounced update on chart website Hits Daily Double, that suggested an upcoming&nbsp; January 2014 release for My Chemical Romance with a title yet to be determined.&nbsp; While several websites speculated that the release was indeed a greatest hits album, many hardcore fans hung on to hope that the unfinished early recording sessions for their fifth album&nbsp; would finally see the light of day.<\/p>\n<p>However, A wise man once said &#8220;If it seems too good to be true, then chances are it probably is&#8221;.&nbsp;Unfortunately for those fans, it appears they will have to keep on waiting, as <a href=\"https:\/\/altwire.net\/de\/gerard-way-reveals-album-art\/\">Gerard Way<\/a> announced last night over Twitter that the release is nothing more than a Greatest Hits record, with artwork designed by the vocalist himself.&nbsp; Hits Daily Double have since removed the listing from their website as well.
