You must live under a rock if you haven’t heard that Coldplay<\/a> are getting ready to release their new album “Ghost Stories” on May 19. You can pre-order “Ghost Stories” on iTunes now<\/a> and immediately download their single “Magic” and the album track “Midnight”. If you prefer a proper CD, you can preorder the album on Amazon<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

A Deluxe CD edition of the album featuring three bonus tracks is available exclusively from Target at target.com\/coldplay.<\/p>\n

To give you a little taste of “Ghost Stories”, the band will be presenting songs from their upcoming sixth album in an hour long special called “Coldplay: Ghost Stories” on Sunday, May 18 (7 p.m. ET\/PT) on NBC. Directed by \u201cColdplay Live 2012\u201d helmer Paul Dugdale, this in-the-round special \u2014 recorded in front of an 800-person audience in Los Angeles in March \u2014 will blend live-performance footage with cinematic film images dispersed throughout. Atmospheric projection will deliver 360-degree imagery \u2014 around, above and below the band \u2014 while being woven into the overall filmed narrative.<\/p>\n

This sounds pretty interesting if you ask me, and if you dig their current single “Magic” as much as I do, you shouldn’t miss this amazing special. In addition to \u201cMagic”, the setlist for the special will also include worldwide hits such as \u201cViva La Vida,\u201d \u201cParadise\u201d and \u201cClocks.\u201d It was conceived by Coldplay, Paul Normandale and Misty Buckley.
