In discussing the incident with <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2017\/music\/news\/josh-homme-kicks-female-photographer-in-the-head-at-kroq-acoustic-christmas-exclusive-1202635338\/\" data-lasso-id=\"1714\" data-old-href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2017\/music\/news\/josh-homme-kicks-female-photographer-in-the-head-at-kroq-acoustic-christmas-exclusive-1202635338\/\" data-old- rel=\"noopener\"><em>Variety<\/em> <\/a>right after the show, Chelsea said the following:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cJosh was coming over and I was pretty excited, I\u2019ve never actually photographed Queens Of The Stone Age before, I was really looking forward to it. I saw him coming over and I was shooting away,\u201d she said. \u201cThe next thing I know his foot connects with my camera and my camera connects with my face, really hard. He looked straight at me, swung his leg back pretty hard and full-blown kicked me in the face. He continued performing, I was startled, I kind of stopped looking at him, I just got down and was holding my face because it hurt so badly.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Moments after this incident occurred, Homme was seen brandishing a knife, which he used to cut his own forehead, resulting in blood dripping from the wound for the remainder of the band&#8217;s set. This practice is known as \u2018blading\u2019 and is most common in professional wrestling. The vocalist also referred to the concertgoers in attendance as &#8216;retards&#8217; and shouted &#8216;Fuck Muse!&#8217; This remark appears to have been aimed at the band <strong>Muse<\/strong> who were headlining later that night.<\/p>\n<p>No statements or explanations for Homme&#8217;s behavior, including whether the 44 year old musician was under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, have currently been offered by the musician.
